A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (Abhay Charan De), born on September 1, 1896, is the founder-acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). An eminent spiritual leader, he dedicated his life to spreading the teachings of Lord Krishna as outlined in the Bhagavad Gita and other Vedic scriptures. In 1965, he traveled to the United States with the mission of sharing the message of Krishna Consciousness with the Western world, despite facing numerous challenges. His profound wisdom, compassion, and tireless efforts led to the establishment of ISKCON, which has grown into a global movement with temples and communities worldwide. Srila Prabhupada’s teachings emphasize devotion, spiritual practice, and the importance of a life centered around divine love and service. He passed away on November 14, 1977, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire millions.

Snana yatra is a pastime of Lord Jagannath – Lord of the Universe. On this day, Jagannath, His brother, Balarama, and sister, Subhadra, shower Their mercy by allowing Themselves to be bathed by all following the original tradition of worship at Jagannath Puri, India. Everyone enthusiastically assembles at the Temple in the morning to bathe Them in the midst of kirtan.The pastimes are such that after the bathing, They become sick and need to rest and take medicines for two weeks until They recover and are well enough to come out for Rathayatra.
Every summer, the Lord of the Universe, Jagannath, His brother, Balarama, and sister, Subhadra, are brought out of the Temple to the streets to bless everyone with Their loving large-eyed glances. This festival dates back thousands of years originating in Puri, India, where it still takes place and is attended by millions of devotees annually. The smiling Lord Jagannath and His siblings ride on huge beautifully decorated wooden chariots, pulled by the hands of Their devotees in a grand procession in the streets of most major cities in the world. Here in the India, there are more than 13 Rathayatra festivals across the nation.
Jubiliant festival on every sunday in which devotees from all around the city come together, discuss about Krishna, hear nectarian pastimes of Krishna, understand the science of Krishna consciousness, engage in dance and Krishna-kirtan, honour delicious Krishna Prasadam and distribute books about Krishna.
